Do you #sourdough?! I’m exploring new #ferments and I’ve never yet mastered the sourdough. Until now. It’s my mission! I’ve been birthing 2 #sourdoughstarter from scratch: one #rye (Bert) one #bakersflour (Ernie) we had takeoff last night! I woke up to find that my little boy became a man. Bertie made it in to my ‘Fermentation Hall of Fame’ as King of the Sourdough Starters. Father and babies doing well. We are all very happy! 😃😝😜💪🏼🙏🏻🌈 .

I really enjoyed creating these starters and looking forward to exploring loads of sourdough bread recipes plus pancakes, crumpets etc (I’ve made some sourdough pancakes already and veganised them they were STUNNING! 🍞 #recipe coming soon...

All this takes me back to my Fermentation Retreats, sigh, where we spend 4 days in a farmhouse exploring #kombucha #långfil #ryebread #kefir #chocolate from fermented beans, #nutcheese from a range of nuts & seeds and all sorts of lacto & veggie ferments. My buddy Stefano shares his bread recipes with us. Gosh I miss all that!! .
