Recipe: Cacao & Greens Smoothie

Er…… hold the phone! How did I not even get around to posting this recipe, that I created about 4 years ago, for my Raw Juice Camp? I shrug my shoulders as I have no explanation! So boy, oh boy, do I have a lovey treat for you! This smoothie is the real deal and it’s called Cacao & Greens as it’s essentially a chocolate smoothie – and a great place to hide some kale.

Whenever you see greens in a smoothie – add some healthy fats – such as avocado or Udos Choice to help with the absorption of all the goodies in those greens! It’s a good choice to use a frozen banana as this helps with the creaminess of the smoothie (remember to peel it before you freeze it!) or if using an unfrozen banana then add a little ice.

Ingredients (per person)

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 handful kale leaves (stems removed)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 stoned dates
  • 2 heaped tsp raw cacao powder (or more to your taste!)
  • 1 tsp Udo’s Beyond Greens – or wheatgrass, or spirulina etc
  • 1 tsp Udo’s Choice Oil


Blend and enjoy! Bee Pollen topping optional.
