I always say that if you want to have a fantastic day then you’d best start the day by consuming something green.
Well right, but that’s not always easy for everyone and unless you are used to the morning flush of a Green Monster then you might be wondering what on earth you can rustle up that’s green AND tasty!
The best way usually is with a fabulous smoothie! And it doesn’t have to look green to be green. Confused? Here’s what I mean.
Not all green smoothies are green
I often post recipe pics on social media. Now I know that you are not all on facebook, instagram, twitter or pinterest (if you are you can follow me through the links on this site) so let me share this recipe pic with you now!
I love throwing some of my favourite superfoods into my Vitamix and just going for it! And this morning I made a perfect smoothie: tastes like a pina colada and has all the goodness of the green stuff. Take a look at the pic for the ingredients – and quite seriously I just threw in what I had but the measures for 2 large glasses were approximately this:
- 1 ripe persimmon
- 2 ripe plums
- 1 tbspn lucuma powder
- 1 tbspn green powder (I used Udo’s Beyond Greens)
- 1 tspn coconut oil
- 1 tbspn Udos Ultimate Blend Oil
- 2 cups coconut water with pineapple
- 1 capsule Udos Digestive Enzymes
- 1 capsule Udos Super 8’s
Just blend and go!
The powerful combination of the green powders, superfoods and omega oils is an absolutely perfect start to the day! Completely satiating. Will satisfy you until lunch time and is just absolutely gorgeous!
