PT Magazine profiles raw vegan recipes!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not the fittest person in the world. Far from it! But I do try my best to keep healthy and keep the excess weight off. And I find it hard! One of the reasons I set up Raw Juice Camp was that I could have a place to go where I felt I could try my best to work out (as a non fit person!) and eat the foods that I want to eat. Because the food bit I have got right, for me. The exercise bit I really need to work on.

And that’s where two worlds really seem to collide. You see I couldn’t find it anywhere else. Other ‘bootcamps’ found it difficult to feed me. And when they did all I got was a slab of tofu in place of the chicken in a chicken salad. And I know that’s not where I get my nutrition from! I need superfoods! I need hemp. I need greens. I need Udo’s Oils. I need wheatgrass. I need green powders. I need juice. I need raw foods. I need plant-based smoothies.

The good news is that I have noticed more and more that ‘fitness experts’ are beginning to explore more raw foods and clean eating and plant based alternatives to protein. This is fabulous! More and more athletes are turning to raw/vegan/plant-based/high-raw/superfood diets because they increase and maximise the body’s performance.

I am delighted to share some raw food recipes in the latest edition of PT Magazine. Even though many in the industry might be dubious about going plant-based and not yet ready to let go of the chicken fillets – tiny steps in the right direction which is great news!
