A great way to start the day!
I am often asked – how do you get started..? It’s ok for you – you’ve been juicing for AGES and you just KNOW what works and what doesn’t! What if I make a rubbish juice? I just don’t know what works well together, what’s a good combination? How will I know if it is going to taste great?
Well, if you are worried about taking your first juicy steps then worry no more! Let’s firstly blow a few myths out of the water. ‘Juicing’ is an endless learning journey – I am discovering new flavours and recipes all the time. Like anything – you learn as you go. You find out what works for YOU. Also, I make juicing (and raw) mistakes all the time too! It’s part of the learning! In my kitchen sessions I often discover combinations that just don’t suit my taste buds, and everyone knows that raw blended soups are just not my thing.

I will let you in on a little secret. There’s a ‘fail safe’ juice that all juicers fall back on. It’s a juice that is so easy to make you can pull it off even if you are having the biggest mind blank ever. It’s a staple juice classic that all juicers fall back on time and time again. Why? Because it works. It tastes great. And it uses simple ingredients. It’s the simple juice recipe that ALL professional juicers fall back on!
The ingredients are:
- lemon (and sometimes lime!)
Yep! The secret is out there! I often play with the combinations but usually stick to something like this: 2/4 carrots, 2/4 apples. big thumb of ginger, one lemon half a lime.
