I was honoured to be featured in an article all about juicing in First for Women’s Magazine in the April 2013 edition.
I shared my weight loss journey and talked about my issues with PCOS, which certainly reached out to many of you as I had so many emails from women telling me ‘that’s just like me! I have that! I need help! I need to juice!’.
Releasing the fat photos….
It was also the first time that my ‘fat photos’ had seen the light of day – other than being on my own web site! Sharing the embarrassment was a big step for me. I am glad I did put up the fat photos and ‘tell it as it is’, warts and all. The biggest issue with PCOS and weight is that you can often feel like you are bearing the burden alone. You are not alone! And certainly I started my Explore Raw blog to share with you how juicing and a high raw diet helped me.

…’It worked for me’
‘My chronic pain and fatigue lifted!’
Exhausted from running to the bathroom every 20 minutes to deal with her heavy menstrual period, Stephanie Jeffs finally decided to sleep in her empty bathtub….
Embarrassment factor x1000!
I mean ‘oh my LORD!’ who wants THAT written in the press about them and shared for all to see? Not me that’s for sure! But oh am I so very glad that I did share that very embarrassing moment. So many readers really connected with it and that’s the most important thing. I didn’t actually move into my bathroom for nights on end but I did end up sleeping in the bath – on occasion – particularly if I had to be up early for work the next day because my constant trips to the bathroom and heavy blood loss throughout the days and nights were truly exhausting for me.
The article follows:
‘for 22 years Stephanie suffered from the pain and weight gain associated with PCOS. Having been told there was no cure, she’d given up on finding relief.’
‘I can’t ever help but wonder why no doctor ever told me juicing would be this ridiculously effective and easy’ says Stephanie. ‘Total health was within my grasp, I had no idea!’ ‘
I share these pieces of the article with you as I hope that they will also reach out to those who suffer from either PCOS, weight gain, hormonal issues or other dis-ease that can be so easily relieved with a clean diet. It took me around 5 years to move from a flabby UK size 22 to a fit 14/16 and I now also have a regular menstrual cycle with no PCOS related issues.
Reach out – total wellness is within your grasp too.
